Debate on Christie’s property tax cap intensifies
TRENTON — Jousting between Gov. Chris Christie and Senate President Stephen Sweeney over how best to tighten caps on property tax increases intensifies today, when Christie holds a town-hall meeting on Sweeney’s turf and the Senate budget committee considers a Democratic alternative to the cornerstone of Christie’s plan.
