Extension of Property Tax For School Board Funding Wins Support
By JOHN CHAMBLISS THE LEDGER Polk County School Board members voted 6-0 on Tuesday to continue a property tax of 25 cents per ,000 of assessed valuation. The tax, which was adopted last year, will raise about million and is essential to maintaining school operations, Polk County School District officials have said.
