Phoenix delays deciding on property tax hike
PHOENIX (AP) – Phoenix city leaders have decided to wait two years before deciding whether to increase a city property tax rate.

Deputies to get pink slips as property tax hike flunks council vote
The King County Council did not muster enough votes to put a proposed increase in property tax on the August ballot to raise money for criminal justice. County officials say dozens of deputies and courtroom employees will now get layoff notices.
