N.J. Senate panel tackles property tax measures
TRENTON — The New Jersey Senate on Monday will begin considering nearly three dozen proposals to control the rate of property tax increases. Governor Christie says the bills are designed to help towns, counties and school districts contain costs and hold property tax increases to 2 percent a year.
