Quinn signs property tax relief bill
Sitting at a table on the front lawn of a bungalow on the city’s Northwest Side on Sunday, Gov. Quinn signed into law a bill to provide temporary property tax relief for tens of thousands of Cook County homeowners and property assessment reform for many more Illinois residents. But the law complicates the property tax process for hundreds of thousands of senior citizens.
