Property owners sue Ameren over cleanup
The owner of the former McCabe Scrap metal site, 151 W. Ferris St., and her son have filed suit in U.S. District Court, Central District in Peoria, against Ameren. Ethel Carlson, Galesburg, and Rex Carlson, Wataga, are asking the court to order Ameren to remove all waste from the former Galesburg Gas Light and Coke Co. property, as well as surrounding land and water.
